Faculty and Post Doctoral Positions
Cancer Health Services Research

The Cancer Control Program of the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, Georgetown University Medical Center is seeking investigators to expand cancer care delivery and outcomes research. Post-doctoral position and assistant and associate professor, tenure-track positions are available.

The successful candidate will join a highly interdisciplinary department with active, NIH-funded research in a variety of topics: cancer prevention, screening, genetic testing, personalized medicine, cultural determinants of health, survivorship care, barriers to dissemination and disparities in care, decision support tools and cost-effectiveness modeling, lifespan development/aging, and community outreach.

Candidates are sought with training and expertise in health services related disciplines (e.g., clinical research, health services research, epidemiology, health policy, statistical modeling, or health economics). Minimum requirements include a doctoral degree with a track record of research publications and extramural funding potential. Strong mentorship is available for junior candidates.

Very competitive recruitment packages are available, with additional incentives for more established candidates having a track record of extramural funding. Clinicians are encouraged to apply, with opportunity for joint appointments in other departments. Start dates of January or July 2009.
