Call to AcademyHealth Members: Help us Help You! REQUEST FOR FEEDBACK While much of the scrutiny of conflicts of interest in science has focused on clinical research, health services research is no less vulnerable. Conflicts of interest can arise when initiating projects, designing study methods, analyzing data, and disseminating research findings. Recognizing the need for action, AcademyHealth’s Board of Directors convened the Ethical Guidelines Committee and charged them with providing practical guidance to individuals and organizations in the health services research community. The result is a draft report designed as a resource for resolving conflicts in an ethical manner, while sustaining important health services research programs. Please give us your feedback! In order to better serve you, we are collecting feedback on the draft report. Your comments/edits, whether general or specific, will help to strengthen the report. Although it is not required to identify yourself with your response, we encourage you to do so. We will not attribute your comments/edits publicly, but we may seek additional insights from you as we work to finalize the report. You can provide your comments/edits in one or more of the following ways:
2.
EDIT DOCUMENT DIRECTLY: 3.
FAX COMMENTS/EDITS: 4.
MAIL COMMENTS/EDITS: Please fill out the survey and/or edit the report by May 17th. We will compile and discuss the comments/edits we receive at AcademyHealth’s Annual Research Meeting during the meeting of AcademyHealth members on June 7, 2004. We will solicit additional feedback from members at that time. |
