This 2017 Spring issue of the VA Health Services Research & Development's (VA HSR&D) FORUM showcases cutting-edge implementation science from the Quality Enhancement Research Initiative centers and related quality improvement initiatives in VA. It includes a Commentary from Amy Kilbourne, Ph.D., M.P.H., as well as articles on facilitation as a key strategy in implementation science, the contribution of qualitative data to Patient Aligned Care Team model, performance measurement to improve care, and strategies to increase Hepatitis C treatment starts.
VA HSR&D works to identify and evaluate innovative strategies that lead to accessible, high quality, cost-effective care for Veterans and the nation. It publishes FORUM on a quarterly basis to bring useful information derived from health services research to the attention of both VA clinicians and managers. FORUM also introduces questions, observations, comments and criticism raised by VA clinicians and managers to health services researchers.
