Deanie Anyangwe is a Research Assistant at AcademyHealth. She manages the Management and Steering Committees for the 2018 Sharing Knowledge to Build a Culture of Health Conference and assists in the coordination of the overall conference. Deanie also supports three Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Leadership Programs.
Prior to working for AcademyHealth, Deanie interned at the Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE) where she engaged in advocacy, working on a variety of policy issues. While interning at SOPHE, she also co-coordinated a collegiate pilot leadership program and supported communications and marketing. Deanie has also interned with the Baltimore City Health Department, working with the Youth Health and Wellness Coordinator to secure a five-year $5 million grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration for the Resiliency in Communities After Stress and Trauma (ReCAST) program.
