Sophie Sherman is a Summer Intern at AcademyHealth, supporting the Paradigm Project. She was brought into this position by the National Academy of Social Insurance (NASI) as one of the 2020 Rashi Fein Interns on Health Policy. Her responsibilities include researching and reviewing literature, writing briefs, and supporting the Paradigm team’s work. Prior to joining AcademyHealth, Sophie worked as a health services research assistant for the Durham VA Medical Center, conducting research on geriatric Veteran care and family caregiver support. She received her Bachelor of Science in Public Health at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, and she is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health in Health Policy also at UNC-Chapel Hill.
