Joe Weissfeld is a senior project manager at the District of Columbia’s Department of Health Care Finance’s (DHCF) Health Care Reform and Innovation Administration (HCRIA). HCRIA creates and tests new delivery system and payment models among Medicaid providers in the District of Columbia with the goal of enhancing health care quality, improving care and outcomes, promoting health equity, and increasing the value and efficiency of DHCF’s programs.
In this role, he leads the development of a Health Homes care coordination program for individuals with multiple chronic conditions (My Health GPS), Medicaid reimbursement for services delivered via telemedicine, and research into new opportunities for health care innovation in the District of Columbia.
Prior to joining DHCF, he served as the senior analyst in the Health Policy and Government Strategies division of the Advisory Board Company and the manager of government affairs for the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He received his Master of Public Policy with a Health Policy concentration from the George Washington University.
