Shenam Ticku, B.D.S., M.P.H. is an Instructor at the Department of Oral Health Policy and Epidemiology at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM). Dr. Ticku has been conducting research on behalf of the HSDM Initiative on Integrating Oral Health and Medicine and the Office of Global and Community Health. Within this role, she engages in demonstration projects of new modes of oral health delivery and collaborates on work underway with advocacy groups. She is also an Investigator in the national center funded by the HRSA Academic Units for Primary Care Training and enhancement (AU-PCTE) program to evaluate the integration of oral health in Primary Care Training. Her research at the Center has also focused on the integration of oral health competencies in primary care training, the inclusion of behavioral health, and the social determinants of health in dental education and practice.
