Chinenye Anyanwu, PharmD, MPH is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy. Dr. Anyanwu’s work centers on understanding how systemic racism shapes health disparities and how CBPR approaches can be utilized to improve the provision of pharmaceutical care for marginalized communities. She has over ten years of experience developing and implementing community-oriented chronic disease prevention and health promotion programs. As a pharmacist, researcher, and public health professional, Dr. Anyanwu understands the challenges marginalized groups encounter when seeking access to quality care. She remains committed to helping communities reach their greatest health potential by creating equitable, sustainable, changes in healthcare training and delivery. Dr. Anyanwu earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy, and a subsequent Master of Public Health degree specialized in community-oriented primary care from the George Washington University Milken Institute of Public Health. She completed a Postdoctoral fellowship focused on patientcentered outcomes and comparative effectiveness research methods at the University of Maryland Baltimore School of Pharmacy
