With a pressing need to address effective opioid use disorder (OUD) quality measures, the Medicaid Outcomes Distributed Research Network: Equity and Quality Improvement for Medicaid Programs (MODRN EQUIP) project aims to foster an OUD treatment system patients can count on, through funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Helping to End Addiction Long-term (HEAL) Initiative. Through a series of three integrated research projects, involving various participating states, state teams will develop sustainable OUD quality measures that center patient experience and health equity over the next five years.
