In a May 2021 meeting convened by the ABIM Foundation and AcademyHealth, researchers, clinicians, patients, and funders gathered to begin developing an agenda to advance research on trust. The meeting focused on understanding the state of trust research and existing gaps in the literature; identifying and prioritizing opportunities for trust research to build a research agenda; and beginning to establish a research community devoted to advancing trust research.
