AcademyHealth is committed to maintaining high standards of professionalism in its health services research activities. By participating as a conference speaker, individuals agree to uphold these standards and to engage respectfully with all attendees.  In addition to our Code of Professional Conduct, we expect our community to maintain these standards when engaging in professional work with AcademyHealth.

By participating as a speaker at any AcademyHealth conference, it is expected that:

  • Presentations, written materials, and oral remarks will not contain defamatory, libelous, or slanderous statements, including false statements or allegations presented as fact that could reasonably be expected to harm the reputation of any individual or organization.

  • During presentations, speakers will not engage in any type of promotional marketing or selling of any product or service.

  • Presentations do not and will not violate any proprietary or personal rights of others (including but not limited to any copyright or privacy rights), will be factually accurate, and will not contain anything that is defamatory or otherwise unlawful.

  • Presentations are original work, with speakers either being the sole copyright holder or having obtained all necessary permissions or licenses from any persons or organizations whose material is included or used in conference presentations.
