The October issue of Health Services Research (HSR) examines the latest research on outcomes and measurement, costs and insurance, and variations in use of services. It also includes a new featured section, “The Best of the 2012 AcademyHealth Annual Research Meeting (ARM).” The articles published in this section were selected from the work submitted to the 2012 ARM call for abstracts. AcademyHealth staff and the HSR editorial team evaluated work from each of the conference themes and invited authors to submit full manuscripts to be considered for publication. The journal anticipates publishing a set of articles annually based on abstracts submitted to the ARM and selected to be outstanding by both reviewers from the ARM themes and HSR's own editorial staff and reviewers. The call for abstracts for the 2013 meeting opens on November 1.
