AcademyHealth and JAMA Health Forum today announced a new partnership that designates JAMA Health Forum as one of AcademyHealth’s four Official Journals and creates additional connections between the Journal and AcademyHealth members.
JAMA Health Forum is an international, peer-reviewed, online, open access journal that addresses health policy and strategies affecting medicine, health, and health care. The journal publishes original research, evidence-based reports, and opinion about national and global health policy; innovative approaches to health care delivery; and health care economics, access, quality, safety, equity, and reform. A member of the JAMA Network, JAMA Health Forum is fully indexed in MEDLINE/PubMed and the Web of Science.
“AcademyHealth is a critical bridge between research producers and the policymakers and practitioners who use that evidence to improve health care access, quality, equity, outcomes and cost,” said AcademyHealth President and CEO Dr. Lisa Simpson. “Adding JAMA Health Forum to our Official Journal offerings expands our capacity for supporting the bidirectional flow of information between evidence and policy.”
Under the agreement, AcademyHealth is adding JAMA Health Forum content to the Daily News email and will host the JAMA Health Forum RSS Feeds along with content from the other Official Journals – Health Affairs, Health Services Research and Milbank Quarterly, on its website.
“I am delighted to begin this partnership with AcademyHealth, which aligns perfectly with JAMA Health Forum,” said John Z. Ayanian, M.D., M.P.P., Editor, JAMA Health Forum. “The articles published in JAMA Health Forum are of immense interest to AcademyHealth’s membership, and the JAMA Network shares AcademyHealth’s commitment to advancing the fields of health services research and health policy.”
