Overview

Community-based organizations (CBOs) are vital partners in advancing health equity, yet collaborations with academic institutions often face structural barriers, resource disparities, and power imbalances. This webinar explored these challenges and highlighted how CBOs serve as cultural brokers, amplify community voices, and bridge the gap between research and real-world impact.

Through examples from Latinx communities, we examined strategies for overcoming barriers, strengthening partnerships, and enhancing CBO capacity. Participants gained practical insights to foster equitable, sustainable collaborations that drive meaningful change in health equity and improve the health and well-being of underserved communities
