In this webinar, the Enhancing Systems of Care for CMC Coordinating Center will explore how organizations, agencies, and stakeholder groups have used the Family Engagement Systems Assessment Tool (FESAT) to strengthen family engagement efforts. Through real-world examples and lived experiences, speakers will discuss how family feedback shaped engagement strategies, the value of structured approaches for assessing and improving engagement, and the challenges encountered along the way.

Participants will learn how family engagement efforts evolved from planning to implementation, with a focus on creating meaningful feedback loops that demonstrate impact and foster collaboration. The session will also highlight lessons learned, promising practices expected to continue beyond the grant period, and practical insights for organizations looking to build more sustainable, responsive, and family-centered systems of care.

About the Enhancing Systems of Care for Children with Medical Complexity (CMC) Coordinating Center

AcademyHealth, in partnership with Boston Children’s Hospital, FamilyVoices, the University of California San Francisco, Patient Advocate Foundation, and the American Academy of Pediatrics, is leading a Coordinating Center to support five Health Resources & Services Administration (HSRA)-funded demonstration sites to optimize the health and well-being for children with medical complexity and their families while also achieving health equity for these populations.
