In 2018, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) awarded eight grants to support studies examining states’ use of Section 1115 demonstration waivers to modify their Medicaid programs. The studies examine a range of issues related to the implementation and impact of Medicaid policy changes enacted under Section 1115 waivers, with the goal of generating timely evidence on states’ experiences to date.
