Overview
In this one-hour session, members of the Research Community on Trust had the opportunity to hear from leading journal editors on trust research in peer-reviewed literature. Richard J. Baron, M.D., President and CEO of the ABIM Foundation moderated the webinar. Speakers included Christine Laine, M.D., M.P.H., Editor in Chief of Annals of Internal Medicine; Thomas (Tom) H. Lee, M.D., M.Sc., Editor in Chief of NEJM Catalyst; and Alan Weil, J.D., M.P.P., Editor in Chief of Health Affairs. They discussed the significance of trust in health care research and its implications for patient-centered care, as well as current gaps and opportunities in the literature regarding trust-related studies. The potential for strategies to promote and support the inclusion of trust research in peer-reviewed journals was also explored.
