Overview

Join our upcoming webinar to explore lessons from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Health Data for Action (HD4A) program and how partnerships between researchers and data providers can expand access to real-world data and support meaningful research. This session will highlight lessons from HD4A and offer practical recommendations for improving data access, strengthening research partnerships, and helping researchers use data to inform policy and practice.

Our expert panel, including HD4A grantees Rebecca Gourevitch, Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland, and Neel Shah, President of Healthy Moms, Healthy Babies America and Senior Advisor at Maven Clinic, along with Katherine Hempstead, Senior Policy Officer at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, will share their experiences and lessons learned from the program. Moderated by Megan Collado, Senior Director at AcademyHealth and HD4A Program Director, the discussion will explore opportunities to democratize data for research, sustain and scale collaborations, and strengthen the use of evidence to advance policy and practice.

Learning Objectives

By the end of the webinar, participants will:

  • Learn how partnerships between researchers and data providers can improve access to and use of real-world data.
  • Understand key lessons from the HD4A program and the experiences of researchers working with valuable datasets to address important research questions.
  • Discover practical recommendations for democratizing data access and sustaining and scaling collaborations that support data-driven policy and practice change.
About Health Data for Action

AcademyHealth manages the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Health Data for Action (HD4A) program. HD4A equips researchers with valuable data —information that can help them better answer important research questions.

Foundation’s (RWJF) efforts to improve health, equity, and social justice rely on evidence and data. They believe deeply in the importance of research, evaluation, and learning with the end goal of building an evidence base made from many disciplines that helps inform efforts to improve health, well-being, and equity.
