Our guest speaker, Dr. Gregory Wozniak, will kick us off with a brief background of his career in economics, highlight how health economists can collaborate across different sectors and industries, and provide suggestions for addressing any gaps economists face in their line of work.
PCORnet®101: A National Resource for Patient-Centered Health Research

PCORnet®, the National Patient-Centered Clinical Research Network is a “network of networks” that harnesses the power of large amounts of health information while leveraging strong partnerships between patients, clinicians, health plans, and health systems. This broad infrastructure, open to all researchers, facilitates conduct of large observational studies that include clinical and patient-reported outcomes as well as large, pragmatic clinical trials embedded within participating health systems. This session will provide an overview of PCORnet and its data, engagement, and research resources. The session will also discuss PCORI funding opportunities leveraging PCORnet.
Lunch will be provided. There will be an opportunity to schedule private consultations with the PCORnet® team.

Advancing the Learning Health System Maturity Model

This interactive session will engage attendees in the validation of an organization-level maturity model for learning health systems (LHSs) developed by a multi-stakeholder effort led by the Learning Health Community and AcademyHealth. Panelists will provide an overview of the maturity model's development to date and then lead attendees in discussions to explore options for model refinement and to solicit feedback and interest in future testing and/or applications of the model.
