Adonis Hijaz, M.D., is the Lester Persky Professor of Urology at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He is a board-certified urologist at University Hospitals, Director of the Center of Female Pelvic Medicine and Surgery, and Vice Chair of Academics and Research for University Hospitals Urology Institute. He is a surgeon scientist with an interest in improving female pelvic health through clinical and translational research. He was a K08 recipient from NIDDK is currently funded by AHRQ and NICHD. Dr. Hijaz is the author of over 90 publications including book chapters. He is a graduate of the American University of Beirut School of Medicine and completed his residency in Urology at the American University of Beirut. He completed fellowship training in neurourology and urodynamics at the University of Toronto and female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Dr. Hijaz lives with his family of Westlake, Ohio.
