Dr. Alaa Sada is a general surgery resident at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. She completed the postdoctoral certificate program at the Mayo Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCaTS) and she is currently enrolled in the Master’s Degree program in CcaTS at Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. Dr. Sada serves as a member of The American Association of Endocrine Surgeons (AAES) research committee and a member of the Surgical and Perioperative Care Interest Group Advisory Committee. She has recently completed a research fellowship where she joined the Mayo Clinic Kern Center for the Science of Health Care Delivery; she was involved in many research projects related to optimizing opioid prescribing practices and improving surgical outcomes. Her research interests focus on improving the quality of care that surgical patients receive, overall and specifically within surgical oncology and endocrine surgery in addition to promoting patients and surgeons’ engagement in telemedicine.
