Alaina Beauchamp, Ph.D., M.P.H. is public health researcher, specializing in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Geospatial Information Sciences (GIS). Currently, she is enriching the field with her postdoctoral work at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Texas, focusing on Geospatial and Clinical Information Sciences within the O’Donnell School of Public Health. Dr. Beauchamp’s research has been marked by a commitment to understanding and addressing health disparities, particularly those influenced by environmental and socioeconomic factors. In her work, she uses innovative approaches to incorporate GIS, leading to the discoveries of the spatial dimensions of mental and physical health disparities and the impact of environmental factors on health outcomes.
