Allyson Hall is a professor in the Department of Health Services Administration at the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she serves as director of graduate programs in health care quality and safety, and co-director for the Center for Outcomes and Effectiveness Research and Education. Her research focuses on improving access to high quality health care among vulnerable populations including low-income individuals, and people living with a disability or a chronic health condition. Current research activities also focus on reducing care fragmentation and the use of health care technology to improve quality of care. She serves on the board of the Commission of Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME) and is an Associate Editor for the Journal for Healthcare Quality. She has a Ph.D. in Health Policy from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and an M.H.A. in health care administration from the University of Florida.
