Dr. Anushree Vichare is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management and the Fitzhugh Mullan Institute for Health Workforce Equity at Milken Institute School of Public Health in George Washington University. She has a PhD in Healthcare Policy and Research and is a primary care physician. Her research portfolio examines factors associated with inequities in access and quality of care among vulnerable populations. She has previously worked with medical societies to develop practice improvement tools such as clinical practice guidelines and quality measures to improve cancer care. She also has worked as an epidemiologist with the Virginia Department of Health and has served as a public health researcher in India. In her current role, Dr. Vichare’s research examines the role of policy-levers such as physician reimbursement and cost-sharing as well as workforce-related factors, including its’ diversity in addressing inequities among Medicaid and low-income populations
