Ashlyn Burns is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Psychiatry at the Indiana University School of Medicine. She seeks to improve access to evidence-based services in underserved communities through her research, which examines behavioral health services, hospital community benefit strategies, and public health systems. Her current work is focused on understanding access to and outcomes of different behavioral health crisis care delivery models. She is driven by her own lived experiences navigating the health system as a patient with chronic mental and physical health conditions from a Medicaid-eligible background.
