Dr. Crowe is a Senior Data Science Analyst in the Robert D. and Patricia E. Kern Center for the Science of Health Care Delivery at Mayo Clinic. His research focuses on measuring health care quality and examining the effects of disclosing quality information on patient and provider decision-making. In his doctoral research, he studied how dialysis center quality scores influence where patients choose to receive dialysis treatment and how dialysis centers respond to payment penalties for low quality. In his current role, he
develops and analyzes quality metrics to provide real-time insights that support hospital decision-making. His work also contributes to the development of a website that aggregates hospital quality information, helping patients make more informed decisions about which hospitals to choose for their care.
