Brianna D. Taffe, MPH, is a Cancer Epidemiology PhD student at the University of North Carolina Gillings School of Global Public Health. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Public Health from the University of South Carolina, and her Master of Public Health in Health Behavior and Health Education from the University of Michigan School of Public Health. Brianna’s research focuses on equitable health outcomes among African American women with serious illnesses and chronic conditions. In particular, she is interested in cancer survivors’ health-related quality of life and experiences of care, including the factors that influence care-seeking behaviors, and how timeliness of care affects health outcomes and quality of life. Brianna is currently working on mixed methods research in breast cancer disparities and access to care for rural endometrial cancer patients.
