Dahae Choi is a PhD student and Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Maryland School of Nursing. Her research focuses on advancing person-centered maternity care, with a specific focus on optimizing shared decision-making (SDM) within hospital-based perinatal care. Prior to UMSON, she participated in various research projects in South Korea examining SDM for NICU parents, interdisciplinary team care for pediatric cancer care, and healthcare experiences of women experiencing infertility. Her diverse professional background includes experience as a NICU nurse, a clinical instructor at Ewha Womans University, and a clinical research associate/project manager in the pharmaceutical industry. Dahae aims to become an independent nurse scientist dedicated to transforming maternal health outcomes and mentoring the next generation of healthcare leaders.
