Dr. Dalia Seleem is the Assistant Dean for Biomedical Sciences Curriculum and an Associate Professor at Western University of Health Sciences, College of Dental Medicine. She holds a DDS and a PhD in Craniofacial Biology, with extensive experience in curriculum development, interdisciplinary education, and oral-systemic health research. Her academic leadership focuses on integrating biomedical sciences with clinical reasoning and population health, particularly in the context of medically complex patient care and chronic disease management. Dr. Seleem is a strong advocate for health equity and interprofessional collaboration, having led initiatives that connect dentistry with pharmacy, medicine, and public health. She also serves as a mentor through ADEA’s Academic Dental Careers Fellowship Program and contributes to scholarly publishing as a guest editor. Her work bridges the gap between foundational science and real-world care delivery, making her a passionate voice for advancing translational research and community-centered healthcare education within the AcademyHealth network.
