Denise Lillvis, PhD, MPA is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Health Services Policy and Practice in the Department of Epidemiology and Environmental Health at the University at Buffalo SUNY. Dr. Lillvis was a previous recipient of the UB Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA)-linked KL2 Mentored Career Development Award. Dr. Lillvis is a health services researcher that specializes in child health services policy and implementation. In 2017, she received her PhD from the University of Michigan, conferred by both Health Services Organization & Policy, and Political Science. While her earlier work focused on childhood immunization policy, she developed expertise in pediatric trauma research through active collaborations with Buffalo’s John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital and UB’s Department of Surgery as well as research pertaining to Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs within the emergency care context.
