Diana Rubio, M.D. is a first-generation Latina family physician, the current Robert L. Phillips Jr. Health Policy Fellow at the Robert Graham Center for Policy Studies in Family Medicine and Primary Care, and an incoming Commonwealth Fund Fellow in Minority Health Policy at Harvard University. She was named a 2025 National Minority Quality Forum 40 Under 40 Leader in Health for her leadership and advocacy in advancing health equity.
Dr. Rubio earned her undergraduate degree at UCLA and her medical degree from the University of Minnesota. She returned to the greater Washington DC area for residency at MedStar Health/Georgetown-Washington Hospital Center Family Medicine Residency Program.
She currently serves as Chair of the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Organization of Resident Representatives and as a liaison to the AAMC Group on Diversity and Inclusion. Her professional interests focus on minority health disparities, health equity, and medical education.
