Dr. Donglan Zhang is an Associate Professor in the Division of Health Services Research in the Department of Foundations of Medicine at NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine, with a joint appointment in the Department of Population Health at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. With over 10 years of experience in health services and health disparities research, Dr. Zhang's work focuses on identifying barriers in access, quality, and outcomes in the prevention and treatment of cardiometabolic disease. She applies multidisciplinary approaches to examine the complexities of healthcare systems and population health management. In this project, Dr. Zhang will work closely with Dr. Arabadjian to identify factors at the clinician and health system levels that may influence the diagnosis and treatment of HCM, using quantitative analytic models.
The goal of this project is to lay the foundation for interventions that reduce disparities in the diagnosis of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM).
