Dr. Proctor is Shanti K. Khinduka Distinguished Professor Emeritus, Brown School and Institute for Public Health at Washington University in St. Louis.  Her work advances the field of dissemination and implementation science, leading teams to distinguish, clearly define, develop taxonomies, and advance the conceptual, linguistic, and methodological clarity in the field. Her current word addresses implementation outcomes, speed of implementation, and strategies to build the implementation science research workforce.  She directs the Implementation Research Institute, a training program in implementation science funded by the National Institute for Mental Health now in its 18th year. She served on the National Advisory Council of the NIMH and has advised the World Health Organization and the National Academies of Medicine, Engineering, and Science on implementation science projects in low and middle-income countries, including work on COVID vaccine implementation, and accelerating response to public health emergencies.
