Erika Cheng is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Indiana University School of  Medicine and Executive Director of the HEALeR Collaborative, which embeds research into health system priorities to advance equity and prevention. Trained in public affairs, population health sciences, and health services research, she leads NIH- and foundation-funded projects on obesity, hypertension, and maternal-child health. Dr. Cheng played a key role in Indiana University’s COVID-19 response and is a frequent contributor to public dialogue through op-eds and media. Her work focuses on translating rigorous evidence into policies and practices that improve health and reduce disparities.
