Freshta Masoud is currently an AMSNY Scholar in Medicine at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. She has over four years of experience supporting clinical and health services research across multidisciplinary teams. Originally from Afghanistan, Freshta is passionate about advancing equitable healthcare and improving outcomes for underserved and displaced populations through research, advocacy, and community engagement. She enjoys collaborating with clinicians and researchers, learning from diverse perspectives, and contributing to projects that improve patient care. Through her continued training and involvement in research, she hopes to build a career that combines compassionate clinical care with research focused on improving the quality, accessibility, and equity of healthcare.
