Dr. Hao Yu is an Associate Professor of Health Care Policy at the Department of Population Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute. He has expertise and experience in conducting two lines of research—how the ongoing health care reform affect health workforce growth and distribution and how health workforce policy changes affect health care and health outcomes for vulnerable populations, such as children with autism, pregnant women, and residents in underserved areas. He has led multiple R01 projects on health workforce studies and published in top medical and health policy journals. Dr. Yu has served as a grant reviewer for both public and private funding agencies, including the National Institutes of Health and the Health Resources and Services Administration
