Hari Sharma, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Management and Policy at the University of Iowa. His research focuses on nursing home workforce issues around injuries/turnover, nursing home financing, quality of post-acute and long-term care services and disparities in access to post-acute and long-term care services in rural areas. He is currently working on several studies on nursing home workforce and impact of different federal policies on nursing home quality. He received a PhD in Health Economics from the University of Chicago. Prior to starting his PhD, Dr. Sharma spent 5 years specializing in health economics and outcomes research at Analysis Group, Inc. – an economic consulting firm.
