Jamie Daw is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. The goal of her research is to generate evidence to improve the health of reproductive-aged and pregnant women. To do so, she uses observational and quasi-experimental methods to derive policy insights from large datasets, including population surveys, vital statistics, and administrative claims. Her current projects include evaluating the impact of the Affordable Care Act on coverage, access to care, and health outcomes for women; and using data to identify opportunities to improve postpartum health care in the United States
