Jennifer Kwok, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Health Policy and Administration at the University of Illinois Chicago School of Public Health. Dr. Kwok’s research focuses on the roles of providers in healthcare, particularly for populations with substantial healthcare needs such as pregnant and postpartum individuals and older adults. Her research also focuses on the household healthcare decisions of older adults. Dr. Kwok primarily uses methods from economics with large datasets, including healthcare claims, hospital discharge data, birth data, and national surveys. Dr. Kwok received a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, and was a Postdoctoral Fellow in Aging and Health Research at the National Bureau of Economic Research. She also received an S.B. in Biology and an S.B. in Chemical-Biological Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
