Dr. Jenny O’Donnell is the Senior Director of Research and Evaluation at the Society of Family Planning and a Lecturer in the Department of Women’s and Gender Studies at Wellesley College. The Society of Family Planning is an academic society for over 1,800 researchers and clinicians contributing to the science and medicine of abortion and contraception, as well as the academic home of the Complex Family Planning fellowship, an accredited OB-GYN subspecialty. At the Society, Jenny leads research-related strategies responsive to a shifting landscape and in service of the vision of just and equitable abortion and contraception informed by science. This work includes #WeCount, a collaborative monitoring effort capturing abortion volume before and after the Dobbs ruling, as well as the Society’s competitive research funding on abortion and contraception in the US.
