Juyoung Kim is a PhD student and Barcott-Kim Fellow in the College of Nursing at the University of Rhode Island. Her current research interests include value-based care, with a particular focus on low-value care and the role of nurses within the healthcare system. Before joining URI, Juyoung participated in various research projects in South Korea, including quality evaluation (such as risk adjustment), patient safety, economic evaluation of health services, and healthcare delivery systems (e.g., inpatient and trauma care). Juyoung has professional experience as a clinical nurse in the Pulmonary and Infection Unit and the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, as well as experience as a nationwide health promotion program advisor.
