Mekdes Tsega is a State Health Policy Intern at AcademyHealth. She assists primarily with supporting the State team on the State-University Partnership Learning Network (SUPLN). The SUPLN is a PCORI-funded project that supports ongoing collaborations between university researchers and state government entities to advance evidence-based state health policy. Her role includes updating the SUPLN members’ website and drafting monthly member updates. She recently also assisted with organizing the SUPLN 2016 Annual Meeting.
Prior to coming to AcademyHealth, Ms. Tsega, had worked in various health-related roles including at the Division of Emergency Operations at the Center for Disease Control and Emory University. She has a B.A. in Human Health from Emory University, and is currently pursuing an M.P.H. in Health Policy at the Milken Institute School of Public Health at The George Washington University.
