Michael Cohen is a health economist in the Health Analysis Division at the Congressional Budget Office (CBO). In that position, he has worked on research and policy analysis related to hospitals’ and physicians’ prices, alternative payment models, telehealth, and long-run projections of Medicare spending. Prior to joining CBO, his research focused on nursing home quality and Medicaid coverage and access to care. His work has been published in a range of journals including Health Affairs and JAMA Internal Medicine. He obtained his PhD in health policy from Yale University.
