Olivier Wouters is an Associate Professor in the Department of Health Services, Policy, and Practice at Brown University’s School of Public Health. He also holds a visiting faculty appointment in the Division of Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacoeconomics at Harvard Medical School. Olivier’s research focuses on pharmaceutical economics and policy, particularly issues related to drug pricing and access to medicines in high- and middle-income countries. His work has been published in leading journals, including Health Affairs, JAMA, The Lancet, and NEJM. In 2025, he received the Publication-of-the-Year Award from AcademyHealth for his research on Medicare drug price negotiations. He holds a Ph.D. in Health Policy and an M.Sc. in Health Economics, both from the London School of Economics.
