Shondelle Wilson-Frederick, PhD is a nationally recognized health equity expert and her leadership has positioned the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to improve the quality of care for people living with sickle cell disease. She has advised senior executive leaders on analytic solutions for actionable policy changes for Medicaid and Medicare beneficiaries, fostered strategic partnerships with multi-sector entities, and implemented national health initiatives that supported the White House, HHS, CMS and NIH strategic priorities. 

Dr. Wilson-Frederick earned a PhD in Bacteriology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and completed postdoctoral training in Cancer Epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
