Dr. Shubhayu Saha is with the United States Department of Health and Human Services, having worked on climate change and public health programs at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Office of Climate Change and Health Equity. Dr Saha translates health risk assessments related to a range of climate hazards (like extreme temperature, flooding, air quality, extreme events) to actions that promote health equity, reduce adverse health impacts and enhance climate resilience. He leads interagency efforts within the United States Federal government to create decision support tools that integrates real time health and environmental surveillance data that provides actionable information for emergency response and guidance for targeted interventions to reduce health risks from climate hazards.
