Sonali Singh is a doctoral candidate in Public Policy and Political Economy at the University of Texas at Dallas, where she also holds dual master’s degrees in Economics and Social Data Analytics. Her work applies causal inference methods (synthetic difference-in-differences, regression discontinuity, Bayesian modeling) to questions of population health, human capital, and environmental exposure. Recent projects include a policy memo on psychedelic legalization and public health, an evaluation of the health effects of California’s Paid Family Leave program, and a peer-reviewed study in societies on the psychosocial strain experienced by women in Afghanistan. She teaches Human Rights and Health Policy at UT Dallas and holds a BA in Psychology from Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi. She is a 2026 UT System Graduate Archer Fellow placed with the American Public Health Association in Washington, D.C.
