Sookyung Park, MPH, RN, is a PhD student at the University of Virginia School of Nursing. She earned her BSN from Seoul National University and later completed her MPH while working as an emergency department nurse at Samsung Medical Center, where she provided care during the MERS and COVID-19 outbreaks. Her prior research examined emergency department nursing workload and health policy, and her current interests center on the nursing workforce, health policy, and healthcare systems. Her long-term goal is to advance evidence-based policies that strengthen the nursing workforce and enhance patient care delivery.
