Dr. Lindau directs the CommunityRx program of research, including several current clinical trials focused on how and why connecting people and their caregivers to community-based resources drives health and well-being. Current trials focus on people with diabetes, cardiovascular disease and caregivers of hospitalized children and home-dwelling persons with dementia. These entities, headquartered on Chicago’s South Side, have generated data about tens of thousands of community programs and services related to living with diabetes and other chronic medical and social conditions, served millions of people and employ hundreds, including more than 2300 youth since 2009. NowPow, LLC was acquired by Unite Us, LLC in September 2021. Dr. Lindau continues in her role as Chief Innovation Officer of NowPow, a wholly owned subsidiary of Unite Us. Dr. Lindau earned her masters degree in public policy at the University of Chicago where she was also a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholar.
