Tracy Kim is a Senior Research Associate at the MedStar Health National Center for Human Factors in Health where she manages and supports research initiatives surrounding critical healthcare challenges, such as system factors related to patient safety events, in order to better support clinicians and enhance patient safety. Before joining the Center, Tracy conducted research on risk and resilience in low-income communities and worked in various behavioral and mental health settings.  She has a growing passion for applied research and understanding the human mind and behaviors in relation to provider workflow, team performance, and the implementation of system processes to optimize healthcare delivery. Tracy holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University and plans to pursue a degree in industrial and organizational psychology.
